Later, Hershel releases his rage on Maggie and Glenn after he found them in bed together. Maggie yelled at him that she's 19 and that she can do whatever she wants, and Hershel stormed out of the room.
That day, Allen and Rick were cleaning out the barn for their group to live in, but it was taking too long and it was frustrating. Rick finally snapped and argued that since Hershel just lost two of his kids, he should have plenty of room to fit Rick's group. He left the barn to look for Hershel. He finds Hershel grooming a horse. Rick starts his speech about how he should be able to live in the house, but he is cut off immediately. Hershel says no, and that as soon as Carl heals from the gun shot, Rick's group would have to leave.
Later, a furious Lori yells at Hershel, asking why he was kicking them out. He said that he never promised them a home, and that healing Carl was enough. The fighting continues until Hershel finally has enough and gets ready to slap Lori in the face. Rick breaks them up in time, but Lori is even more angry now. Hershel tells Rick and Lori that he doesn't owe them anything, and that he must keep his kids before everyone else, no matter what. Hershel puts a gun to Rick's head, and officially kicks him out.
Some time after, Otis is looking for Hershel in the house and finally finds him sitting in the corner of a room. He is obviously regretting what he did, and he thinks he has gone mad.
Meanwhile, as Rick's group is getting ready to leave, Rick asks Glenn if he has said goodbye to his new girlfriend, Maggie. He says no, and that he is going to stay at the farm with her. He says that he has to stay so that he won't feel alone anymore. Glenn doesn't say goodbye to anyone, and the group is soon back on the road once again.
Many days later, after being on the road for quite a while, the group stumbles upon a huge prison, guarded by several gates and fences, but is overrun by zombies. Rick tells everyone that if they clear the place of zombies, they could start a new life there.
